Well another night at Vim and Vigour for dinner with my daughter. Tasting menu was fantastic and delicious. I ate every bite and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't rate the food and the staff enough, always welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend and well worth a visit. x

My partner and I went here with a gift voucher we received for Christmas. I'd heard great things from multiple family members about the food.

We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful too. So much flavour and odd combinations that just worked.

It works a little different to normal restaurants due to its small size. The staff come and get a drink order when you arrive and then once all tables are in for the sitting they will come and take your order.

The chef prepares everything on the menu and the food is brought out as it's ready for those who order it. I have to say the chef and kitchen staff were on the ball as I don't recall waiting long between any dishes even if there were others in between for other tables.

Would highly recommend trying this place out if you are local or looking for a great dining experience. I can see why it's hard to get booked in. Absolutely delicious.

me and my friend were greeted upon entry and seated instantly, we felt very welcomed even with it being a training session with a new start.

the food was lovely, the menu was explained greatly as i hadn’t been before.

the staff members for our table; dressed in black and a orange shacket, the new start, were so accommodating and friendly.

would love to go back.

An absolutely amazing dining experience in West Lothian. Very affordable prices for such high quality food and drinks, with exceptional service from the staff. The atmosphere was so relaxed yet sociable. We will definitely be back!

We visited last night for the first time and as soon as we arrived we knew we were in for a great night. The incredible service started as soon as we walked in the door. As it was our first visit our server (who I wish I had gotten the name of but she was so lovely) explained the menu and how it all worked and gave us time to look at the drinks and the food menu. She was attentive without being intrusive, perfect balance and couldn’t do enough for us. On to the food which was nothing short of exceptional. We had 6 different dishes and every single one was a bit of food heaven. We also went on to have the dessert which was just delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is so lovely. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We finished the night at the bar and were talking with the staff like we knew them. We even got to speak to the chef at one point and tell him how incredible the food was. The was excellent value for money too. Each dish and drink is very reasonably priced. We had 6 dishes, 2 desserts, a bottle of wine, 2 beers and 2 cocktails and it was only £136. Absolute bargain!! I could rave about this place all day - and likely will tell anyone who will listen how amazing it is. It was the perfect first visit and we already can’t wait to go back. A gem of a place and I am so excited it is in Bathgate.

Absolutely fantastic meal. Everything was delicious on the tasting menu and the paired wine was perfect. The pork belly was one of the best things I have ever tasted but I can't not mention the sea bass or the chorizo. Wonderful hosts too. We'll be back soon.

Can't put into words how amazing the food is, we have done dinner and brunch here and it's one of the most amazing places to eat. The food is outstanding 👌 the service and staff are amazing too. Would recommend to everyone to go. This picture was my brunch and I can say I have never tasted anything like it. The owners should be very proud of what they have achieved. Cant wait to go back

My wife treated me to brunch before work, what an experience.
Lovely friendly greeting on entering, very relaxed atmosphere.
Menus and drinks offered, orders taken, all so efficient and enthusiastic.
The food was amazing, so fresh and tasty, and also far removed from the normal offerings elsewhere.
I think this team are onto a winner or I hope so, will definitely be back for brunch again and to try the evening menu. Well done guys, five stars all round

Was lucky enough to revisit Vim and Vigour for their evening menu, WOW, just WOW. What a meal, and what a great experience. Again the team are right on the ball with everything they do, from entering, to drinks, to service.
Top marks all around. The food has to be some of the best I've tasted in a long time. Very inventive menu, beautifully presented, and the flavours were amazing. Thank you to everyone for a great evening.
