This is a really interesting venue. There's an upstairs outside bar which has a good vibe. It's a great venue to see a band - I recommend stage right for a good view.

They are enthusiastic about checking bags as you go in, but the staff are kind and friendly so not a big deal.

We had a fun night here with Gary Davies and his Sounds of the 80's. Very enjoyable and a great atmosphere. There's a big programme of forthcoming events, mainly tribute acts, but also some occasional top 20 charting artists from the past Drinks prices reasonable and quick service.

Staff here were lovely.
The accessibility procedures here are shockingly bad. Which is what I am basing much of my review on.
Carers don't receive a "proper" ticket. Just an email saying it's sorted. So when you get there, you explain you are a carer.
No area is set up for wheelchairs, ambulant disabilities. No raised platform etc so those in wheelchairs that do not raise up are at a disadvantage in an all standing crowd. No specific area either.
Best they could do was take the tall chairs from the bar and line them along the wall. Late comers then had their tall chairs put right in front of the guests that arrived in good time. Made it up as they went along.
Definitely need some policies and guidelines!
The whole process from booking to the actual show itself for access requirements was messy and unprofessional.
It's unlikely we would book another HMV event. As other venues give much better service to those that have access needs.
Overpriced drinks in flimsy plastic cups.

Went to see RutsDC and From the Jam, 2 bar areas, multiple screens for sports, toilet even has an attendant selling wares. Close to the main square, with big wheel and plenty of festive attractions.

I was here for the Half Man Half Biscuit gig Decent venue right in the centre of town. Sound was good (from right at the front)
Staff were friendly and easy/quick to get in and served at the bar
There was some confusion as to where the exit was though(!) and it's a trek to the toilets.
Can't really comment on drinks as I only had water but £2 does seem a bit steep for a bottle.

Was here for an Emo night with my daughter. Every aspect of the night was good, security/entrance was efficient and polite, and the Bar service was prompt and polite. 👌🏻
