Frequented here over 30 year period. Used to be the “in” place in the area. Really busy and hard to get in. Today arrived on a Thursday lunchtime very quiet hardly any cars in car park. Inside empty . Had a light lunch as in hurry . The waitress was excellent very mannerly and pleasant . But the food took ages to arrive and was average at best . One tip in an empty restaurant why would you sit the only other couple that arrived in a table virtually on your shoulder giving both of us no privacy . The restaurant bar has been refurbished and looked really good. Something has to be wrong to go from the busy vibrant pub to this though. I assume they are struggling too as the food was ok but pricey . Think this is a message one doesn’t want to see in the toilet. Don’t warn the minority in this way not really conducive to sell your Premises reputation. Surely these people can be dealt with without putting this in our face while trying to enjoy a bar lunch on a quiet Thursday. Good intentions maybe but unnecessary sign. Charging £4 for A Soda water is not a good way to get your customers flocking back either. Really overall a bit disappointed to see this place looking a bit down on its heels. Hope it survives great history in the area.

Nice food, served hot enough. It took a while for our drinks to come, and I had to ask where they were after waiting for nearly half an hour. Once they arrived the food wasn’t long after. The atmosphere was nice, with lovely decorations as it was just days before Christmas. We would go back, hopefully the service isn’t always that slow.

Been here before for a special occasion and came here again a few days ago, just like the first time the place is absolutely stunning with really friendly staff who see to you pretty much straight away, we had a few beers at the bar, I was driving so it was a non alcoholic corona for me and wine for the good lady, the food was absolutely amazing, never had such tasty fish n chips and I’m from scarborough, the only downside was the portion had shrunk by about a third compared to the last time I was there about 3 years ago and the portion of chips too and I’m sure there was mushy peas last time or maybe there wasn’t?
My good lady had the peri peri chicken burger which she described as ‘tip top’
For pudding I had the most amazing sticky toffee pudding with honeycomb and coconut ice cream and my lady had cheesecake with cream, I even helped polish hers off! 😊lol
All in all a brilliant night, nice and quiet with a good atmosphere.

Went here for our work Christmas night out and the service was incredible. There was 15 of us and they made sure everything went perfectly.

One person wasn't a fan of their meal (nothing wrong just not to their taste) and the server offered a replacement and when she said no offered her something else in the house.

The male server we had (sorry didn't catch his name) was incredible making sure we were all looked after and drinks kept coming.

We will definitely be back and will go again with family as the environment was amazing!

Went to Cricklewood following a funeral for a set meal. We were in the private dining area upstairs a bit of a challenge for those with mobility issues. Tables were set rather haphazardly odd selection of condiments not every table had salt and pepper!!
Tea and coffee served on arrival but limited milk jugs so milk cartons were used.
When meals were served soup was cold and sent back a bit warmer second time around but not hot. Steak pie seemed to be a casserole with separate pastry on top again not hot and macaroni cheese was hot but greasy. As there were only two waitresses service took a while.
Really disappointing experience certainly put us off returning

We had my sister’s baby shower here last weekend. Beautiful venue, attentive & helpful staff. Megan was behind the bar and she could not have been friendlier. Would definitely come here again & plan future family events here 🙂 x

Quality of food, service and drink has increased considerably over the past year or so. We now frequent the Cricklewood often due to being dog friendly, lovely breakfasts and great evening meals.
Great place👍
