Ive have been training w Ela for the last 2 years! She is compassionate and always adjusts the workout for my body every session. My body tends to he very stiff and I always feel much more adjusted and open when I walk out the door. She is classically trained and delivers a true classical romana lineage experience. Ela is one of the most knowledgable instructors in the city! I am so happy I found her! I drive from Eagle Rock 3 times a week to train w her. She is just lovely. Her dogs are beautiful and so sweet.

I love the intro deal she has 5 sessions for $360! Thats what really got me hooked!

Its best to call, text and contact thru social media to book your sessions. Altho she is a brick in motor business, please be curtious and aware of your surroundings before walking in as she is either teaching a client on the floor or on zoom!

She may know a thing or two about her push-up Pilates!

Actually, Ella is the best. She has not only helped me improve my strength, but she’s sculpting my body. Her pilates technique is one to be studied! I tell her often she’s not allowed to leave me. You won’t regret her teachings. Absolute must try if you value strength, stretching, and all around good mobility. I highly recommend.

Amazing Pilates instructor! Manon’s (nickname is Ella) understanding of not only the Pilates method but also her wisdom with regards to injuries and limitations and how to work with those challenges to strengthen the client is unlike any other studio instructor! I have walked in the studio and she will say “what did you do this weekend, your stride is off? Or “were you driving extensively, you are favoring the right knee today, let’s work with that!” These insights, her vast knowledge of the method, numerous exercise options and her kind encouragement have made my Pilates workouts a number one priority in my health regimen.

Manon really knows her Pilates. I have worked out with the best starting with the New York teachers in the 60,s . She is rigorous and encouraging.Tough but warm. She works with each person on an individual basis and makes a routine perfect for them.I recommend her for anyone who is interested in getting in shape and staying in shape. Lisa

The most heartbreaking and unfair experience and the woman who’ve has no heart!! I bought a package of 10 sessions and was able to use only two of the bc I had an accident and have a concussion with the facial nerve damage and bc of that had to take a break for 18 months.
Ela is the owner asked me to pay her in cash, something I should have never done. She told me that if I pay in cash my session will never expire. When I was finally cleared from my doctor to start exercising and was going to go back she texted saying my session had expired. I completely understand that she is running a business but knowing why I had to a break for such a long time and not even remind me once that my session to about to expire is feeling so wrong and inhumane.
If I would have known that the session going to expired I would have I have gifted them to a friend so they would not go waste. But more importantly, she knows how sick I was and it was the only reason I had to take a break. I’m still recovering from that accident and was planning to continue after using my 8 sessions that she took away from me $640.
I understand there is rules and policies as I am a Pilates instructor myself and I would never do something like this to a client that was sick and not honor the session that my client prepaid for, knowingly that only reason that client is not seeing me is because she/he is healing from head injuries and it’s the only reason she/he is not able to see me. I’m so heartbroken from that awful experience and someone that I trusted took advantage of me in such a tough times.
I’m someone that only writes 5 stars reviews as I love supporting people as much as I can, but I couldn’t stop myself not to share how horrible experience with Ela. What goes around comes around.

Ela at Pilates Art Center has so much knowledge about our bodies. She has gently guided me through back surgery and still helping me through recovery and healing. I trust her completely .

I am following up on my last review after reading your response to me. I am disappointed in what you said. We are both in the same business, I would have hoped we could come to an understanding offline. I feel as it is my duty to respond so no one else ends up in my situation.

In the summer of 2022, as you know, I was dealing with the death of my mother and the horrific war in Ukraine. For my mental health, I decided to outsource my pilates training, and trusted you with that job.

After completing 4 sessions and still having one left, you reached out to me about rebooking. (see attached image). It sparked a red flag that with still one session remaining you told me that I could not complete it unless I gave you my credit card number. I had already paid for all 5 sessions. (attaching text message for evidence). You proceeded to tell me that I should book a larger package and that I should pay cash in order to get a discount. Yet another red flag, as a body work pilates instructor I have never asked my clients to pay in cash. I run my business by the book. As two European women who are trying to make it, I trusted you. I felt like we were bonding on a personal level after exchanging many shared experiences. I ended up brining you the cash needed for 10 sessions, which added up to $800. You had told me that paying cash allows for these sessions to never expire. My biggest regret is that I did not get this in writing.

I was only able to complete two of the sessions due to my busy schedule and was planing to use the rest of the sessions in 2023 which I informed you of. On February 24, 2023, I sustained a head injury. (picture will be attached) I let you know about this situation on March 2nd and told you that I might need some time to heal before continuing to work out. In that correspondence you wished me well and said "we are here for whenever you want to come back". (picture is attached) Long story short, I am still dealing with repercussions from my injury and was just recently cleared by my doctor to train again. I kept you updated on my healing journey the entire time. Any time I would feel even slightly better I reached out with you to book a session, but unfortunately couldn't follow through with it because of the gravity of what happened to me. I spoke with you on the phone and you shared that you had gone through a similar experience and that your recovery took a year and a half. In June of 2024 I let you know that I would be fully cleared in August, to which you responded "we can def restart you in august". (photo will be attached). Not once during this time did you mention a word about renewing a package or had let me know that my sessions have expired. You only decided to include this information when I had finally booked my session to return.

In regards to providing a doctors note, I was never told that I needed to do so. If I would have known, I would have provided one from the second I got into my accident to keep my money. Since we developed a relationship, I would think you would have some compassion for my situation. Business and training sessions aside, at the core we are humans don't you think?

Please provide the name of the studio that you claim told me "not to come back". You and I both know this is a complete lie. I understand you are trying to defend yourself, dishonesty and unkindness is not the way to go about it.

Just trying to walk in and opened the door but it didn’t open all the way and the person inside screamed “what is it with these people” as they jumped off the couch and grabbed the dog and then told me “I don’t have time.” That’s extremely unprofessional and not a way to “interact” with potential customers. Won’t be trying this studio.
