I have classpass & was in town visiting my parents when I stumbled upon this studio. Nancy walked me through everything. From a warm introduction to a description on what the class would entail. During class she was amazing at explaining the poses and would cue you to make sure you were getting the most out of your practice. I will definitely be back and If you are in the area it’s a must! I left feeling wonderful

I did my first ever hot yoga class this week, the facility was pristine and cozy. Vivi was my instructor and she made me feel very welcome, she was funny and clearly knowledgeable.

I would recommend the grounding spot to anyone who wants to practice yoga or wants to give it a try for the first time.

Our Yoga Place is for everyone!

My friend and I recently attended a Bikram (Hot yoga) class. Our initial reason for going was out of curiosity: do only advanced yoga practitioners participate? Was it really that hot? Could we withstand it?

As a yoga novice, I'm happy to say that the class provided me a variety of benefits. Several of which, I was very surprised to experience.

Yes, the class is hot (105 degrees, with 40% humidity). Yes, there were advanced yoga students in the class. But there was a variety of others in the class, too. Each person was different in shape and size - and each had their own reasons for seeking the benefits that Bikram yoga offers.

Like everything else in life, you must approach the class with only yourself in mind (I.e. not comparing yourself to others in the room). At first I was apprehensive about the heat, but our instructor's (co-founder Nancy Gerald) supportive instructions throughout the class enabled me to focus on the postures, and my breathing. Deep, deep breathing. This isn't a class you can "zone out" in. You have to be focused on what you're doing in that very moment. Such a gift in this fast-paced life we live.

According to a number of studies, there's a variety of benefits to Bikram yoga; but I'm going to focus on what I experienced that day. I felt proud for challenging my body to try something new. I definitely noticed a reduced stress level. And my soreness the next day told me that the postures were strengthening and toning my muscles. All of them.

You can feel the depth of passion owners Nancy Gerald and Tom Palmer have for yoga, and for sharing their knowledge with others. Their facility is state-of-the-art, with advanced features specifically designed to maintain a superior level of sterilization, to ensure the comfort and safety of their students.

I'm still curious, but it's because if one class can make such a positive impact on my body, what would a series of classes do?

I'm going to find out.

Thank you for a wonderful yoga experience while I was visiting Bonita Springs. My sister in law found you. She’s my yoga yoda. I hadn’t done a yoga class in ages and was a bit worried I wouldn’t keep up, especially in hot yoga. I was able to do 4 classes in 5 days and felt refreshed and healthy. The stretch and flow class was perfect after a day of golfing. Loved that they have showers even though I didn’t use them. Very clean and lovely space.

They don’t play any music and the room smells bad, like old sweat.

The teacher doesn’t do the poses. Instead of playing music, the teacher describes the poses by speaking them out, so she’s kind of chanting it. Like a kind of “hold it, hold it, hold it, release” type thing. “Put your hand here and your foot here and your…”

Thr bright light was turned on when the class starts snd the teacher was high energy like “hello! Let’s do yoga!” Kind of thing. In like a work-out kind of way. It was a strange class.

I was looking for something more relaxed. With chakra music maybe.

It was also strange that no one was in reception when I left early and the place was closed. So I had to figure out how to unlock it to get out!

I did like the warmness of the room. And that I could try it for free with the app ClassPass.

I could only last 60 minutes. The class was for 75. In general I would say the vibe was a bit aggressive. And we were instructed in floor work to pull our knee towards our chest “until the hip joint hurts” even though later the teacher said she got her knees injured by going too aggressively to prove her ego earlier in life, when a teacher would sit on her to bend more. And she said later “ discomfort is ok but pain is never ok.” Which was a bit of a contradiction I thought.

It was $5 to rent a yoga mat. And when I met them at reception behind the desk (I think the male was the owner and then the woman was the teacher) walking in, the discourse was a bit disjointed and awkward, so it set the vibe off a bit weird.

From the way they were talking and the things they were selling in the shop up front, I think they were coming from a sort of ‘new age’ perspective.

Full disclosure: I have done hot yoga before, and also regular yoga. But I’m definitely a beginner. I’ve done maybe 10 yoga classes in my life.
