Delicious food , fantastic service , the girl serving was very helpful and friendly. Was a bit surprised they don’t have any Ale’s on draft but the lagers were great anyway. I’ve tried the Chicken Pate and the Chicken skewers. The portions were decent , the only thing I was a bit disappointed was the chicken pate . I was expecting it to be homemade but it was similar with the one you get from the supermarket with 1£ . Even the shape of it was of a plastic container. Very good looking desserts and fantastic decor.

We were a group of 4 adults, a toddler and a baby. We've all been before, some of the group on many occasions with no complaints about the food. Sunday 20th changed all that. 2 Sunday roasts where the meat was inedible due to the amount of fat. We mentioned it when the plates were cleared and they were removed from the bill. Once we left I asked the other 2 about their food, something they've both had before. The grimaced and said it was just edible. A couple of minutes before our meals arrived we could smell that something had been burned. I got the burnt bit in my Yorkshire pudding. When we left we were still hungry so got cheesecake and ice cream somewhere else. We won't be back

We were lucky enough to have Christmas dinner here this year.
We were greeted really nicely by a friendly bartender and we had a little banter with him while we waited for our table to be ready.
The menu was fabulous and worth every penny. Food choices were so nice and we were very impressed.
The atmosphere was brilliant - no rushing - beautifully decorated too.
Cocktails were lovely.
All in all 100% satisfied with everything on Christmas evening. Thanks for having us!

The atmosphere and design of the place was beautiful 😍 but the size of the portions of food was considerably smaller than the last time I went, almost half! Was good quality food though! I had the bao bun. Fries were AMAZING 🤩

Had a fantastic breakfast at The Long House! The place was spotless, relaxing, and the atmosphere was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great service and a peaceful environment.

Extremely disappointing!

I used to be a regular to the Longhouse, taking my family for both lunch and evening meals, however…..

Over recent times both the quality and quantity of food has hit new lows, it genuinely pains me to write this review as this once fantastic restaurant continues to disappoint.

Unsure of who the chef is but they really need to have a word with themselves putting out food like that.

In August I went for brunch and got eggs with bacon and avocado on sourdough bread, I’m attaching a pic for reference, I had eaten a little bit of the tomato but the rest was as it came. This plate is a small plate, not even the size of my hand to give you an idea of size and the sourdough was soo thin it was almost see through.

Decided to give it another go today (12th Feb 24) to see if it had improved , took the family with me and got ham and cheese ciabatta, once again I have attached a photo for reference.

Had to send it back to ask the chef to actually put some ham in the thing.

Even after it came back it was very poor quality. I have had better sandwiches from garages on the motorway. The other meals were mediocre at best.

I used my benefit card to pay to take some credit off it as I won’t be back.

More than happy to speak with Buzzworks if they want to get in touch.

I replied to the survey last time this happened and got no response hence doing a review on here this time.

I hope you sort things out, it would be a shame to lose what was a great restaurant from the town.

We called in on a busy afternoon for the Longhouse, but we were still dealt with promptly and shown to a table. We opted for the 2 course lunch, which offered a good choice and proved an enjoyable meal. The staff were pleasant and efficient in their in their business, which made for a pleasant experience.
