We had intended eating elsewhere, but that fell through and with a quick google search we discovered The Patten Arms. What a great little hidden gem. We were only after a light lunch, and they were perfect. The beer garden was superb and with a beautiful sunny day, fantastic. Talking with the landlady she explained about how it had all changed since lock-down and necessary diversification, leading to them being a wedding venue etc.
If we are ever passing though again it is definitely on our list of eateries.

Called on the off chance for evening meal, the staff were so welcoming and accommodated us. Food both from the specials and the main menu was superb and a cut above your typical pub fare. The guest cask ales were top notch justifying this pub in the Good Beer Guide. So glad we called in 🙏🏽

Absolutely Incredible!

This is our go-to pub for any occasion!
The food is always brilliant, service is perfect and I cannot fault!

Portion size is very generous too!

There are dishes to suit everyone (and I love the fact they add new options to try!)

Nice Pub. The service was good. Did not have to wait long for Drinks Service. Good atmosphere. The Sunday Dinner. The Meats were very good, but the rest was very average. There are few vegetables on the plate. We live in West Wales, and for the price we paid here, we would have had separate plates for 4 different vegetables including Coliflower Cheese added to Roast and mashed potato, which is included but not included here. For what we had, we found it expensive.

A lovely evening spent at The Pattern Arms, with fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Lucky enough to have a live band play whilst we ate our delicious food. AMAZING value for money !

Wow! What a fantastic place to host a party! Thank you so much to all at The Patten for hosting Mum’s Birthday celebration but a special mention to Matt and his team for the amazing food. The buffet was absolutely delicious and everyone was treated to a delightful feast of flavours! The staff are all amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Garstang and surrounding areas are lucky to have such a fantastic place to host a celebration! Once again thank you from The Kitchen Family.xx

First visit after my neighbour recommended.

Lovely pub with superb food and service. Bar or restaurant service; beer was also excellent with some real ales and decent lagers. Spotlessly clean, excellent staff and warm atmosphere.

Such an gem to find. The staff were very attentive and friendly and it was such a good atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious with great attention to detail. The layout is very cosy with few tables so you it was great to have a personable service. The food is of high end quality for not a high end price. I like that they use local produce in their menu and it presented very well. I would definitely recommend a visit.
