Great food and good vibes. If you are visiting the coast or looking for top quality food in the region, this place is a must visit. It serves up local fresh fish and local produce as specials to compliment the main menu. The Sunday lunches are top quality, hearty and also include a catch of the day fish dish option. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable about what's available both with food and drinks. There's an impressive choice of beers/ales (some local) and nice wines. It's a great place that is dog and child friendly that's two or three minutes walk from the beach and one minute from the harbour.

Nice spacious place for sitting or standing at busier times like march days. Plenty of options for drinks on tap. Plenty of televisions throughout for sports. Great breakfast and a fast friendly service every time.

Having previously been in to see live music, have now had two fabulous meals. The Sunday lunch was really delicious, tasty pork with crackling and a great selection of vegetables all served piping hot.
Then ate on a Saturday lunchtime, Ciaran at the bar recommended the catch of the day and was so glad he did. Again, excellent portion of white fish in crispy batter with chips. The chef said it could also be served grilled with boiled potatoes too.
A pot of tea, topped up on request rounded the meal nicely. All staff seemed lovely too.

We called in to “These things Happen” for breakfast. I had full English and Mrs had the eggy crumpet. We were certainly not disappointed particularly in the locally sourced produce, bacon and sausage. This was served by pleasant happy staff. We will be back

We booked the private function room upstairs for a work team social. We had 20 members of staff and the night was a huge success. The room was the perfect size with a private bar. Would definitely recommend to others and will be looking to re-book and organising something in the near future. Next time possibly ordering their in house catering as their menu's looked really good.

Unfortunately, I can only rate the building and coffee as we went this morning whilst visiting family and the area from London. We got there at 10:53 and told breakfast finishes at 11 so ok we were just going to order a bacon or sausage sandwich, nothing too odious, only to be told we couldn’t order - so, breakfast must finish at 10:53!
