Sunday lunch, looked good but memorable for the wrong reasons. Cabbage had been burnt, only hot thing on the plate was the cauliflower cheese. Chicken dried out, pork was tasty. Wouldn’t go back. Mentioned to staff but not sure it would make any difference

Dined here last Sunday with some friends and the kids. Expected a lot better to be honest. Food was OK, but served warm rather than hot. Service was great from our waiters. Wouldn't rush back

Nice setting for an afternoon meal today, the Hawkstone beers were good and the steak was cooked to perfection, We had the bonus of being served by Chloe who couldn't do enough for us, she was well informed of the menu and a real asset to the Hawk, she made our afternoon meal thoroughly enjoyable

Good food - Poor atmosphere, and awful attitude from staff.
Never really leave reviews but the experience was so disappointing from start to finish. We came in as a group of 4 for a 8:30pm midweek table. The restaurant was freezing cold, and a very strange cold atmosphere, no music and no hello or welcome from staff.
Sat down, and pile of menus chucked onto the middle of the table by lady I can assume is the manager, who then came and took the food order. Everything was fine up to this point, just average. But felt like we were rushed to make a decision on what to eat, drink and throughout the whole meal. Starters and main courses were lovely and steak was beautifully cooked.
We were however interrupted by staff mid eating the main course to pass the empty glasses down to them to clear, and then again the knives for the main course were just thrown to the places. The table was large, but not too large where they couldn't place it down gently or politely handle the situation.

After our main courses, we felt very unwelcome as were were the last table in. We weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks, the music was turned off, and were told that what we wanted for dessert wasn't available and no substitutes could be made because the "the kitchen would go mad"

Even when paying the bill we were hovered over from the second it was put on the table, and were made to feel unwanted when splitting the bill. Once we paid we didn't see another member of staff (presumably all in the kitchen, bearing in mind this was just after 10pm) and we just left.

Very disappointing - felt like a budget hostel pub not a high end restaurant. Will stick to the one on the quayside from now on, better mannered staff.

Attended the restaurant last week for their 3 course restaurant week offer. Having had some excellent food from Tomahawk in previous restaurant weeks, I was really disappointed with the offering this time. The starters were probably the best part of the meal, they arrived quickly and were good. My partner and I had steak for our main. Mine was room temp at best and served blue when I asked for medium rare. I asked for it to be cooked further and it returned 5 minutes later looking much the same but a bit warmer. We both had the brownies for dessert which again were disappointing. We waited a while for this to be served and it was so bland and dry we didn’t finish it. It tasted like someone had completely missed the chocolate out, heated it up and left it on the side for 20 minutes before serving. The ‘bueno’ ice cream it was served with tasted like cheap vanilla ice cream. Service was mostly okay, we could see our server was doing his best considering the business and temperature but we had to request cutlery and water twice. The restaurant itself was boiling hot, I can’t imagine how it must have been for the staff when the customers were sat fanning themselves with menus. A couple of fans to cool the place down for the staff would have been a nice touch.

Dirty!
I recently had the misfortune of dining at Tomahawk steakhouse restaurant that left me feeling disgusted, dirty, and sick at the thought. The overwhelming presence of flies made it clear that this establishment had no regard for cleanliness or hygiene.

The Chateaubriand itself was a sorry excuse for a meal. It was badly cooked cold in the middle, bland, and lacked any sort of seasoning or flavor. It was clear that no care or attention had been given to the preparation.

The dirty walls and floors only added to the unpleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. It was clear that no effort had been made to maintain the cleanliness of the establishment for some time. To make matters worse, the glasses that were served to us had lipstick marks on them, which was utterly appalling.

Not only was the food and atmosphere disappointing, but the prices were outrageously high. It was clear that this restaurant was trying to charge a premium for a subpar dining experience. The prices were not reflective of the quality of the food or the service, and it left a sour taste in my mouth that had nothing to do with the steak. Overall, I would say that this restaurant should be avoided at all costs.
